Magic Mongrel Publishers is an independent publishing house based in Kochi that is committed to publishing unconventional narratives in literary fiction.
Founded in 2020 with a vision to bring out contemporary voices in Indian literature, we seek writing that explores craft and the nuances of the literary landscape.
We publish fiction and creative nonfiction that are unconventional and innovative in its form and expression. While we specialise in novellas and collections of short stories, we are also interested in literary works in the form of novels, plays, prose poetry, and memoirs.

Mariam Henna
Founder, Literary Head
Mariam is a writer currently residing in Kochi. She completed her postgraduation in English from Manipal Centre for Humanities, Manipal. Her areas of interest include literature, gender studies, literary theory and history, publishing, and creative writing.
Abhishek Gopurathinkal
Founder, Creative Director
Abhishek is an indie-rock musician currently residing in Kochi. He completed his graduation in Visual Communication from Loyola College, Chennai. His areas of interest include song writing, composing, filmmaking, visual art, and photography.
